Viva La France, nous voici- Here we come
Viva La France, nous voici- Here we come

While preparing for our slow travel in France, Dana and I have both been asked in recent days, are we stressed. Especially, since it's a much longer trip than we have ever taken. The answer has been surprising, this time not so much. Maybe it's because it hasn't been that long since our infamous Christmas Market cruise, which was delightful and stressing. The group tours were on a regimented time schedule, the size of the crowds in the markets were overwhelming at some locations. And we both took tumbles. I fell in London and gave myself a black eye, he slipped and fell in Budapest and gave himself a slightly sprained ankle. And we learned to find pharmacies in both places. I even experienced the wonders of the National Health Service in London-both efficient and free!

It occurs to me that there is a fine line between excitement and stress. So, I keep telling myself it's exciting, and that is indeed true. There will absolutely be stressors, no matter how enjoyable the trip. We simply can't plan for every eventuality. In the meantime, we keep telling each other, it's France where they have stores and wine and fabulous bread.

Stay tuned for the next installment . . .
